THE ONES WE CANT HAVE

Our doors are open.jpg

This is to the ones we can’t have, the ones we cherish and adore, the ones we yearn for, the ones we love but don’t love us back. The ones who mean everything to us, but have no clue what we mean to them, maybe they do, maybe we mean nothing. This is to the ones who have been loved, but don’t love back, the ones we can’t have.

This is to the ones we can’t have, because of societal standard and classification, because of nature, because of life, because of circumstances. The ones we can’t have because age is nothing but a number, and most times, it counts. The ones we cant have because of distance, conflict of interest, or maybe because we just can’t have them. This is to the ones we can’t have, because we became so close, and close was all we could ever be.

This is to the ones, who have genuinely said no to the best, because it wasn’t good enough for them. The ones who stood their ground, holding on to their goals and dreams, avoiding cupid’s arrow, the ones who know what they want, and are not shaken by anything else, no matter how genuine. To this ones, I give respect, in the pain and the hurt, the ones we cant have, the ones we cant love, not because we don’t, but because they don’t.

These ones, were you and I at a point. For once, we were in love, and we were not loved back, once we were loved, and we never loved back.
